I was debating on whether or not to post this in the newbie section, but i figured that since it was a specific discpline i would post here. I've been reading this forum for a couple of days and i was wondering how you get into luging. ive noticed that most people are building there own luges, im guessing that this means that they really aren't for sale, but if they are where can you get one?

if you have some money contact the Roger Bros... (via NCDSA)
If you REALLY have some money go on www.SC8.fr ...
(Stephane Chaperon's last luge is 3000$ but it's probably the most beautiful I've ever seen)
But the best solution (well it's not the best but the cheapest...) is to build your own luge
To get into it, live in the US and be prepared to travel. Ride down hills every week, and ensure you get to comps. Talk to the riders, go for rides with them, and get into comps. Spend more money because by now Darren Lott is riding something ahead of the back and you need to keep up with that. Cut off your pegs because they're useless. Put them back on again because pegless turned out to be a fad. Spend money on new wheels because Abec 11 have a new Flywheel out and you need all duro's, just in case.
By the way, have some money. Should have said that at the start....
Hey i was a noobie once and don't listen to the people who are talking Rogers Bros. They stopped making them. As France goes don't buy that one either, how many of them do you see on the winners stand here in the states. I built my own from a very great website that has all you need to get started http://www.irssport.com . They have everything you need to get started.
