    Default Stoked Newb Questions

Okay, so im building a woody luge in woodwork at school. It's gunna be a rail design with pegs. I'll try with pegs first to get used to luging, then take them away when im better at controling myself. So I got a few questions that i couldnt find the answers to searching

    1. which truck should be looser on a luge? is it like a speedboard with the front end steering, or a snowboard, with the back end doing all the work?

    2. Whats the best paddle technic? two hands at once or left then right ?

3.DH trucks? i dont know what degree they are(bought them used) but would putting wedged risers on make me more turny at lower speeds?

and thats it. Oh ya and pics comin soon. OOOOH i cant f*cking wait

Okay, so im building a woody luge in woodwork at school.(COOL PROJECT) It's gunna be a rail design with pegs. I'll try with pegs first to get used to luging, then take them away when im better at controling myself.(A PEGLESS BOARD IS NOT HARDER TO RIDE) So I got a few questions that i couldnt find the answers to searching

    1. which truck should be looser on a luge? is it like a speedboard with the front end steering, or a snowboard, with the back end doing all the work? LUGE STEERING IS mostly from the front, but the rear must follow and stay on the road. BuT REMEMBER TO DISTRIBUTE WEIGHT 60% front 40% Rear.... IF the rear is to tight it will lift off the road and you will spinout.

    2. Whats the best paddle technic? two hands at once or left then right ? TWO HANDS. MOST USE THEIR KNUCKLES TO START AND THEN PADDLE FINGER TIPS.

3.DH trucks? i dont know what degree they are(bought them used) but would putting wedged risers on make me more turny at lower speeds? DEPENDING ON HOW YOU WEDGE IT CAN ADD OR SUBTRACT STEERING ANGLE. TYPICAL IS MORE STEER IN FRONT AND LESS IN REAR.

and thats it. Oh ya and pics comin soon. OOOOH i cant f*cking wait... WE CANT WAIT EITHER GET TO WORK
