Default My Luge

Just got it friday,
set it up with Randal Luge trucks and lime and lemon bigzigs
this thing is the funnest time of my life. Weighs about 30 pounds all together.

Got it up to about 80 last night, man does it ride sweet. I love it.

Riders over 75kg have better traction if they have 2 trucks in the front...
He is from Canada... so I think he meant 80km/h

Hmm, I guess traction would definetly be up'ed but seems like that might make it turn a little funny...

Dang, that thing is gorgeous.
50mph is still dang fast.

Is there a point to having a split duro in the front or is that just what was available?

80km/h, not mph.

And the two trucks actually isnt weird at all, It dosnt feel any different really. The tightness of the trucks has to be different.

Split duro dosn't serve too much of a purpose, just what was available, and my thinking was:

Lime = soft
Lemon = harder

so I put softer in the rear and then mixed the front

Very nice! If I were to go boomless, that design would be it. I love the wheels on it. How is it in turns? Does it slide a bit?

Some day I'll own Randal luge trucks

This is my first luge ever, so I don't have anything to compare it to really.
But I had no problems getting it around corners or anything, and it was actually really smooth.

There was a bit of drifting when I was up to about 50 km/h around a 90 degree left hander and I sat up a bit to slow down and I felt it drift a bit. But besides that there wasnt a whole lot.

Its no particular brand really, all I know is that Bill Smrtic built it and I bought it from someone who bought it from him.

All I was able to find was like 3 pictures of his luges and very little info on them.

This is a article about his current luge and it seems that it is just like yours, but with fairings: http://street-luge.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=117
You can contact him there (at street-luge.com). His username is SMRTIC. Possibly he has more information for you.
