62mph
Or 100km/h. This was my new years resoulution, and I have done it already. Joseph, if and when you come down here, you are coming to this new hill I found. It is so good, rough as guts, but fast. 100km/h fast. One guy fecked his ankle. It was funny. Also got shots of another guy losing a hanger after hitting a cat's eye at 70km/h. At night.
SPARKS!!!! Frigging everywhere. The luge goes flying, the rider (Josh) went everywhere. Good times. Happy days.
I swear. This post makes hardly any sense.

Homemade job. Cost AU$300ish for two luges and about 2 months working time because we cut it all out with angle grinders.

This thing is solid as. The guy who built it with me (hardoldholt on these forums, and if anyone knows his whereabouts, tell me. He's been missing in action for about 6 months now) put stuff like printing mats from his work in between parts like brackets etc. and it smoothens the ride down. he said to me that he rode another luge built by "Pro/Amatuers" here in Oz that had no cushioning and the ride was very bumpy and well, poor. The luge takes you down hill so easily that you could probably fall asleep on it and end up down the bottom no troubles. Maybe not, but you get my point. This luge is awesome. Excellent ride.

How tall are you Simon? (cue forum elite noise, I wonder what it sounds like) This is my first post in the street luge bit, I think, wow.

No, the other ones were Richard Power's luges up in QLD. I think you have your own opinions already...

Everything I hear about him is bad. Unfortunately luge in our good country is very dead. The guys I go luging with now have been in contact with Pat, Simon Bath, Powers, Pete, and a few others and it seems the general reaction is to say "Yeah, I'll get back to you soon" and never do. It sucks. I think we will be lucky to see an event here in Oz within the next 2 years. And then we'd be even luckier if we were allowed to compete.
Weekend runs with mates is where it's at.

Exactly. Mind you, I can't wait for the slalom race. I'm thinking of getting a slalom board, but I doubt it. I'll probably spend any money, if I have any that is, on a Mad Bomber, DH from Mile High, and maybe a set of Gumballs from MHS as well.
Just gotta sort out that money thing...

I checked out customs and it said on the website that apart from maybe GST, I wouldn't have anything to pay for. If it's under $1000 worth, it's cool. Apparently...
