Chuck E. Cheese sponsors Gravity Sports
So, I was wrangled into a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant and followed my son into the arcade area, where he became very excited about a Street Luge game he found. I can't tell you the name of the thing, but he raced it by sitting in a luge-like cradle with foot pegs, lean steering and pushing buttons to punch/chop at competitors as you descend, and swerve around or under vehicles, trucks and gravel or leap huge, San-Fran like distances. Since he's really only seen street luge at IGSA and thinks of Dave Rogers and Chris Chaput, he asked me, "Do they hit each other?"
I spent a dollar on the thing, myself, and left ranked 12 out of 1,000 on the machine.

Well I think hitting each other would be a little past the limits of allowed cheating (like using wind fairings).

I think they should do an extreme downhill championship in which you can chop at competetors, toss banana peels, and have razor spikes coming out of the hubs of your wheels....

I'm not much of an arcade or vid game dude, but the luge game is pretty darn fun. I should have remembered the name, so I could dredge up an internet image.

haha those things are rad! ive always wanted that snow mobile one!

Re: Chuck E. Cheese sponsors Gravity Sports
I have to say, if the luge one is anything like the snowmobile one, I'll love it.
Haha, the snowmobile one shoots out cold air and bucks you around.
I also tried a vert skating one, where you standup and kick around the board. I want a speedboard one w/ wobbles included!
Or even better, a slalom game??
