Search for ISBN 978-0966256376
But it seems, that this book is a collectors item. 95$ WOW. Also in Germany 220€ (= 302$)
I got mine two years ago for 10€
When you get one, it will help you a lot with truckplacement, weightdistribution, riding style, cornering.
It will not help you building a luge, nor has it any detailed plans for one.

If this book is too expensive for you, you can ask the guys at street-luge.com or first read all the related threats there, because nearly every problem was already discussed.

For a inspiration, what to build, check out the board section on Chris McBrides website: http://chrismcb.com/streetluge/boards/boards.htm

Gravity Publishing is the publisher. They have a mailing address, dont know if that would work.

I think I have seen a few on ebay previously, but there aren't any there now.

Last I checked it had that X amount used and new thing but it wasnt actually available from them.. You couldnt add it to your cart :/

Seems like it doesnt help as much with the build though so maybe after I build mine and play around with it Ill get techniques from another source...

Hi Bob,

Thanks for continually promoting the book. It helps, and we continually get orders.
The book is distributed by Baker & Taylor (one of the largest) and they sell to all the book stores including Barnes & Noble. Amazon is fickle as to whether they carry it or let the Collectable markets push it. All I can say is that with signed copies going for $100-$300, you guys should buy up Gravity Publishing's remaining stock at retail and get rich!

Arlene is looking into setting up an Amazon sell-though herself. It will add a bit to the price because Amazon gets an extra cut (a method to their madness?)

In the meantime, you can mail a check to the Publisher and request a signed copy:
http://www.gravitypublishing.com/SLSGOrdr.htm

BTW- There are about 50 pages in the book dedicated to "Design Considerations" and measurements of four styles of luges. About the only thing missing is good info on Buttboarding, which is why I put up www.Buttboarding.com.

Default Street Luge Survival Guide at Amazon

So yesterday Arlene listed Gravity Publishing as an "Additional Seller" on Amazon. That way you can still purchase through Amazon when they show "Out of Stock."

Of course today Amazon has them back in stock for $14.95!
Street Luge Survival Guide at Amazon.com

Thanks for everyone's support!

I just checked Amazon and they said:

"Availability: In Stock. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available.
Only 5 left in stock--order soon (more on the way)."

I also proceded to check out and it still indicated in stock.
There is also a new seller called PBSHOPUS who just showed up and is priced betwen the Gravity Publishing and Amazon prices (at $16.90 + shiping). Both they and Amazon offer expedited and international shipping.

And in the meantime ANOTHER seller (VDOWAREHOUSE.com) also jumped in with $24.79. It's almost like they are watching this site and all jumped up to suddenly offer books. Weird.
