Tacked with CA glue (super glue, but I doubt that bond still holds) and then 5 large bolts with washers... The bolts are around the size of a truck axle, maybe a bit smaller... Not sure exactly...
Its just to play around with...
But I am going to move the front truck up so the rear mounting holes are in the original front holes (and then Ill also drill new front holes)...
BTW, my "real" luge will be like the back one in this link...
My dad (woodworker) is currently building something but when he is finished (about a month) I am going to order the 13 ply 3/4" plywood, bear trucks (57/45 split angle) and flywheels for a legitamite luge...
I just threw this together cause I miss laying down and going fast on my DH board (sold it) and until I get my luge built I am going to play around with this... obviously not pushing it hard... But it will still be a fun laugh to ride around on.... And I am not to worried about the strength of my luge as it will be MUCH tougher then this one, which I can jump on hard with no problems (just flex)
Haha yeah it will be more fun to screw around with then riding on my Dh setup (while probably less safe) but man will it make luging feel good when I get a wider platform, headrest, handles, more comfortable leg rest etc.... And a more sturdy and stable design!
This luge stuff is soooo fun.... Cant wait to ride a serious setup!
seems like a waste to me, but it's your "luge", so whatevs.

why dont you just make a buttboard out of some scrapwood or something? theyre pretty easy to make.

First off how is it a waste? Both decks were snapped... And I just ordered my new loaded so until that comes I thought I'd screw around with the trucks and wheels I have...
