    Default Updated Gierco Hybrid Luge

This is my newest sled. I took the same design from the "My new hybrid luge" post, shortened the wheelbase by 3" to 44", Used 13-ply baltic birch instead of 7-ply plywood, and invested in a $40 pipe/conduit bender to make the front end. Only other tools were a power drill, a hacksaw, a handheld jigsaw, a palm sander, and a screwdriver. Did 75 kph without breaking a sweat last weekend!

I used to want to save enough money to buy a luge, but mad props to Darren Lott, whos spectacular wood designs inspired me to start building my own!!!
