Default Luge Questions

hey i am new to luge i just built a homemade wooden peged luge. i was wondering what skills i should be working on so i can corner better and stop/slow down. Also what safety gear is recommended, right now i have a full face helmet and pads. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Practice, practice... o and practice. DOnt follow a lesson plan, just go board!


I recommend at least a bucket helmet, but to be on the safe side.... full face + leathers= alot of protection

k thanks. what do you do about runs that might have cars on them with blind corners ??

get a spotter. Or, if the streets are lit after the sunsets, you can see the headlights coming up and shining around the houses and/or trees before the turn. Get good gloves, my knuckles are covered in scar tissue.
