Default I retire from luge, thank you all

It is with deep regret that I announce my retirement from streetluge due to personal reasons. I ahve never had such a great experience in all my life and wish to thank you all for your help through these 4 years I have been into it.
You guys are class acts that will help anyone with this sport and will never forget anyone of you. I have alot of expensive equiptment to sell off so keep an eye out for it soon. I have everything from 2 luges, to bushings, luge shoes, helmets, etc. I only used my Nofuelracing shoe brakes 1 time and they were amazing. Everything a racing luger couldn want. My throat is tight as I write this, so I wont be long. Just thank you all and streetluge will always be in my heart. I will swing by this message board once in a while, but other than the posts for what I am selling, I will not post again.
Again, thank you all, and you are all the most fearless athletes out there (I know, I did it). Godspeed

Don Jackson

I don't know the reason why you're quitting, but do yourself a favor and keep some of your gear; one helmet, leathers, one complete luge. Don't do anything you might regret later on...i don't know if you luge only or speedboard aswell. It would be nice to have keepsakes.

May this decision be the best for you and your loved ones.

you will...i know it. if you're getting emotional, you're gonna have some late nights where you want that to be on that luge flying down the most awesome hill ever. so i would also advise to keep some of your stuff...but it's always sad to hear someone is quitting something they love, be careful and don't be afraid to succumb to your temptations!

edit: just realized that even though i saw this was in the 'Recent Posts Feed' it is from like 4 months ago? you're a dork, questions

the red-padded boomed luge in don's avatar is now ridden by my luge bud, in fact it's sitting in my living room right now. It's piloted with much love, care, and speed... And it will be getting lots of road time once the weather in the NE stops resembling Siberia. And it will probably be at MCGFVII.
I don't think that it was don's only ride, however...

Thanks guys, and yes I have the urge for sure, but still a no go. Man I had that luge tuned up so perfect, I couldnt get the back end loose if I tried, that is going to kick-ass in MCGV for sure. I do have an Extreme Wheelz luge, but it's more like a museum piece, and I dont ride it (saving it for the luge museum) I still have my leathers and shoes with brakes for sale though...Good luck with that luge, it's taken over a year to get it that way. 60mph feels great on it!

I don't know you, and I don't know the guys you're talking about... BUT:

In the short time I've been involved in luge (4 years, but only done half a dozen runs, still finishing my own board) that holds true for all the luge guys, at least the ones I've come across and I'm sure most of 'em are like that.

Farewell... and if you have some sick stuff to sell, make sure you let me know I'm still building my board so am in the market for some nice trucks and wheels

Cheers,

Cowboy.
