Yeah we have a track a few hours drive north of montreal, they let us skate and streetluge the track after closing hours. the turns are banked so you can take the hairpins rediculously fast! the best part is when you pass the photo gate and you show up on the HUGE tv screen in full tuck at the front of the waiting line ( i wonder if we can buy the picture?)...I'll try to get the video of this whenwe brought Aki up 2 years ago.

I've ridden those! They had them at the local ski hill. In the off season they would open it up and anyone over the age of 12 could rent a luge and ride it. It got shut down about 6 years ago becasue kids kept getting mangeles. There where 3 speeds and you could puul up to stop. The first time I got road rash was on one of those!

The track seems really narrow to me. Does it work out pretty well for skateboards and luge? It would be awesome if you could post your footage! Thanks!!

NIko hits it up regularly,(he lives u north). he does it with a bit of foot/airbrake, its a drifting course.
Its tech for luge and the Laurentians have so much more to offer (120kmh+).
Apparently JimZ has the footage from the big session, I don't think I'll be seeing that anytime soon...
Anyone ever see the road to Whistler's luge track...its sooo gnar! http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...rLugeTrack.jpg
I remember seeing some footage on Youtube I think... there were clips of dudes skating Voie Camillien-Houde in traffic and then they hiked through the woods and hit a track like that. I think. It was like a year or two ago when I saw it, not sure where to find it.

Nah I'm pretty sure it was some kind of track... real tight turns and it looked like it was made out of blocks of cement rather than just paved. It was from someone who was on vacation in Montreal or something, lots of clips from all around the area. Like I said, the TC course when it was still open to traffic, and some kind of track. I know I've seen it...
I seem to recall a video that used to be on the KebbeK site that had some footage of one of these tracks. Seemed kinda mellow.
Yeah thats the spot! I don't know why the video doesnt work anymore on kebbek.com... Pierre should get on that (when he has the time). The reason why it was so mellow in the video you saw, was because the track wasn't closed yet and Jim had to go slow to swerve around the really slow luges.
One of the employees at the ski hill modded up a luge so it would go insanely faster than any other one. That musta been really fun!
