well its not really a real buttboard. it is designed to be ridden sitting up and speeds around 20mph in parking garages. I made it. The dimensions are 56x11 with a 34.5" wheelbase. I happen to have extra parts for it laying around but only 1 truck, which happens to be an indy 215, and I was wondering what would be a good second truck to buy. I was thinking of putting my indy 215 in the back with a .5"/1" dewedge and maybe a bear 852 in front. maybe even an exkate torshin? what do you guys think?
ok. do you think that would be better than a different truck in the back and the indy in the front? also, how much riser will i need? would my wedged plan work alright?

Re: Trucks for a BUTTboard
you should put the wider in the front.

Maybe wait for the 200 mm randal hangers. Otherwise I would just go with 180s.
The funny thing is that Randal used to make a "buttboard luge truck" about 5-7 years ago, but has since discontinued it. Nowadays the butt boarders order a 180, with the luge bushing kit (blue/black barrels) and a 3 inch kingpin. You can still special order these by calling Randal.

i would rather not order. i have a bunch of old bushings laying around i could hook it up with.
so you guys think the randal 180s are the best choice? over the bears and exkates? It just seems to me like any amount of added width would help.
I know very little about butt-boarding but I did it on my Nosewalker (55"x11.5) and I had 180's on it and it was fine. Just flip the trucks for more stability, but it will get really weird trying to turn it so as long as the bushings are hard enough, you'll be fine with them regular (but i've only hit mid 30's while buttboarding).

read the title post and everything will become clearer.
For a buttboard in a garage a randal 180 would work just fine. A 215 would probably work great too. I have ridden an evo with 180s in the garages and it worked great.
i just set up the rear truck i de-wedged it 1.5" in the back and .75" in front so it almost doesnt turn at all and just leans. super stable.
im still curious about the torshin. would i have too much of a proplem with wheelbite? I was planning on using .5" of rise and possibly dewedge it aswell.
so far the randal gets the vote, which i am totally willing to use. the only reason why i am hesitant is because there will be about an inch between the edge of the wheels and the edge of the board on each side. is this ok? also, the bushings and width seem to be slightly better suited for this board, and I am a little unclear on the randals' advantage over them.
