This passed Tuesday one of the 3Bobs streetlugers of Quebec set the bar very high as he was clocked at 157,41km/h with help from 2 lasers.
With permission of the city and the local authorities on their side to help close the road the record attemp went off without a hitch in the region of Charlevoix, Quebec.
The fastest BOB, Cédric "bob" Touchette accomplished the record on their custom built T3B street-luge with the addition of multiple fairings that makes a faired Rogers Bros luge look bulky.
The hill begins with an 18% grade and run out into a 10% grade.
The three bobs said that speedboarders may reach speeds of 130km/h.
Maybe Quebec has a road that can compete with Teutonia and that other one in Colorado the name of the area escapes me now...
anyways, if you figure out where this is STFU.
These guys got legal permission and help from RedBull and made it a very private event.
OK that's pretty cool....scary as shit but cool none the less...with Redbull involved maybe it could become a regular event. I would drive north to watch if nothing else

They were hitting the 140's
They we're supposed to hit 100mph, to get more "American attention" on the 4th run
Touchette could have pointed his feet more aero and got those extra 3kph to make 100mph
but they only got 3 runs, because traffic build up at the bottom of the hill got bad for reasons i will not disclose to keep the spot secret.
Fattest, I don't know about that... Personally I've always wanted to see what Dave Rogers could do on a luge in Colorado, or (now that I know about it) this road in Quebec.
