Like the quiver pics for street lugers.

Re: Your Street Luge Setup
I really would like to see the custom luges people built, I think that would be pretty cool.

How about classic luge?
This is my girlfriend's. It's set up with RII 180's (50*front, 35*rear) and orangutang 4pres.

Re: Your Street Luge Setup
What do you mean it tops out at 50 mph?
What size wheels do you have on there?
A pegless isn't as hard as it looks. You generally have someting that supports your thighs, so you aren't really holding your legs up.
Don't know enough about the Noreaster to make a comment on it.
One comment about your board is the handles, those can be dangerous to other people in a wreck.

Maybe a stupid question, but do these things ever wobble out?

Sure.
An improperly built luge will easily wobble out.
A good luge with good trucks can still get speed wobbles. It takes some concentration, and relaxation to smooth out the wobbles.
At Teutonia last year, I had to tighten the trucks up a bit to get rid of the wobbles.
If you don't control the wobbles, the board can flip over. As you get more practice, you'll wobble less often.

I think

We get it up to around 45-50 then it seems to not want to go much faster. It feels stable at those speeds. I it think we just need new bearings and wheels. The wheels on it are my old longboard wheels (some old red 70mm kryptos on flipped randal 180s) b/c we are just playing around with the idea of luge.
I am glad to hear that about riding pegless. I thought it was some sort of weird crunch you had to do haha
Me and my friend only have one sled right now, but that is something to think about for when we get 2 to race.
Thanks

Re: Your Street Luge Setup
I guess my real question is do you think you should be able to go faster on that hill?
What wheels are you running?
Build another board, get a buttboard, or something. TONS more fun to ride with another person. I hope you are wearing proper safety gear?
Some of the original buttboards rode a regular skateboard. Your butt pretty much needs to be over the trucks, so yeah those guys were doing some mean crunches. But with a pegless luge/buttboard you do have some support. It still isn't quite as easy as having foot pegs, but it isn't as hard as it looks. Turning is a little different as you have no foot pegs to push against.
Keep it up, and ride safe!

Re: Your Street Luge Setup
streetluge is a sport solely designed for fags like you who suck to much to standup on a piece of wood that is exponentially bigger than your tiny little cocks.

everyone in here should listen to this guy, he's 100% spot on.
everyone who rides a metal sled down a hill at any speed, lying some inches off the surface of the road, just for the thrill of it is definantly not tough as nails and i must say i can do so much better.
i can also fly.
but seriously. I wish i had the balls to get on a luge, I want to give one a try. even if it's just at like 20km\h haha. I think there needs to be more pictures in this forum btw =D.
