My brother and I own a street luge company, and just put up a trailer for our Online HD TV show... Was hoping to get some feedback from some other people in the gravity sport community....
It was all pretty slow by luge standards. Even by standup standards. If you're trying to get potential customers' attentions I doubt this will work. They won't be impressed. You could look into finding a rider to film in your videos. Find a decent rider who hasn't yet been sponsored and give him a prototype luge and film some crazy ####, some events, some jams, or something, etc and then you could have a pretty legit video worked out and people would probably take you more seriously. Your product looks legit and you have some decent ideas as far as the actual filming is concerned so I think there's some potential for a good video. I hope my advice is at least constructive if not nice. Good luck with the process.
I am willing to jump a street luge for TV time. Maybe you should consider this. Those did look like pretty slow runs.
I would be wearing leathers, though. Makes the sport seem less reckless and more professional.
Regarding the luge construction, I'll call it interesting. Minimal, and surely gets the job done, but it makes me wonder.
I know I could snap the "wings" off that MDF seat pretty easy trying to pressure the sled to stick around a hairpin. A nice design for straightaways, but lack of ample handspace, the inclusion of a boom (is it 1999 again?), and a flat bedpan aren't gonna make it the easiest thing to rip through corners on.
