    Default New To Luge...

I want to get into luge from stand up dh because it looks like fun, and I wanna go faster.

Is there anyway to aquire a cheap luge? Maybe, I dunno, less than 200 for the sled?

Alternitively, is there anyway to build one that I could pull off without too much risk for failure?

Really got to go buttboard for that kind of price tag-
It's a very good way to start learning anyway - so go for it!

    what steveC said.
then, if you like it, save up and plonk down on a nice one IMO. I've seen some made in the general north american NE corridor that are nice for $500+, and some that I don't even like racing near (sketchy, too many cheap ways out) for $400 or something.
if you have access to a shop, building one'd cost around $275 not including labor
