    Learn to slide without grabbing rail, that way you can always put your second hand down on the pavement if you run into trouble. Most people grab rail when they have to take a corner at high speed and don't want to do a 180 degree slide.

    Stinkbug = grabbing between the legs. This is an unstable position and gets you negative style points

    Its just mental,if you can do it grabbing rail,you can do it hand up,I find it easy to slide with original trucks just stick your heels of the board if you need to and go for it.
