Rainskates and G-bones
my friend just purchased some 65mm 97a (i think) rainskates, they look good for sliding, just wonderin if anybodys ever used them, so he knows what to expect, also, ive read quite a few posts about people using g-bones for sliding, are they some of the best for sliding, so ive heard that they barely cone and they dont wear fast at all, also i read that they dont flatspot really, any commments?

Rainskates come in 98a/62mm, 85a/65mm, and 95a/65mm. I currently use the 98a/62mm on my park rig, and love them.
The G-Bones are rated at 97a, but tend to measure 1-2 points less on the average. Like nearly all Powell wheels, they wear great.

I have the "97a" G-Bones and have ridden the 95a and 98a rainskates. The 98a rain skates blow away the g-bones. The G-Bones slide a little better then the 95a rainskates though. Overall the 98a rainskates slide forever! really good sliding wheel. i dont see why there is so much hype about g-bones. They relly arn't that great.

I've got 90a G-Bones, you can tell they are 90's by the way they ride, carve and slide. I love 'em and yes they are difficult to flatspot or cone

Its not ******* difficult, when you carve low if you feel yourself slipping out whack that rear hand on the road and slide.
They are centre set wheels so have surprsingly good traction
