Question Setup Decision (Sorry for another one guys)

    Hey everyone,
Yes I know I probably just pissed you guys off with another one of these but I'd really appreciate some advice. Anyway, I can do the most basic slides and I'm looking to move up in the sliding world. Today I was looking for a Campus Cruiser instead of using my Dancer and I came across the 29" Muir 2009 Blacks Mini. I realized I could use it as a slide setup as well. The real questions I have are in the trucks and wheels. Do you guys think I should go with Bennett 5.0 129 mm or Indy 149s if I'm going to be doing a lot of sliding? Other question is about the wheels. Here are the options that I came up with:
Abec 11 NOSkoolZ 65mm - In many many duros
Abex 11 Strikers 66mm - Also in many duros.
I was wondering which duro you guys were thinking would be good for a beginner slider. I didn't know If I should go all out and get over 90a or start out a little bit softer like 83+.
Thanks in advance for the advice everyone, really appreciate it.

If you have the dough, I'd get a set of Hybrid 149's.

    Mile High Skates

As for wheels, an 83a or 80a duro would be sufficient after proper break-in.

I was thinking of getting 95a-ish NOskoolZ. And do you guys think the hybrids are that much better than the Indy 149s?
Sorry about all the questions and I appreciate the help.

Sorry for the self bump guys, I'm kind of in a hurry for information because I have to head back to school soon so I'd like to get it before I leave.
    Thanks

The hybrids open the door for a lot more bushings options (i.e. Reflex, Venom, Sabre) that would not be able to fit in the stock indy bushing seat/kingpin. It's all preference tho (and how deep your pockets are ). With that being said, whichever trucks you pick, you WILL be able to learn to slide. Gear/parts can only take you so far. Once you get your new board, get out there and skate

I was curious if the Hyrbid 149's would work for other slide decks if I ever wanted to upgrade such as a Rayne Agent or an Earthwing Drifter? I know they usually put Indy 169's on them.
    Thanks a lot guys.

I think they might be slightly too narrow. I had 169s on my Chris Dahl and I could've gone with something wider.

Well I know 149's are recommended for the Muir Skates Black board, and I know 169 are good for Rayne Agent and such but I didn't know if the 149's would fit the Agent or earthwing boards because I might want to upgrade at some point.

If you're going to slide mostly I wouldn't get the Hybrids. They cost more, sit higher, and will be more prone to wheel-bite because of their increased turn and lean.

On the other hand if you're into carving and have a lot of wheel clearance they are sick carving/free-riding trucks.

I'll probably be doing a lot of sliding since I'm using the board for mostly sliding and commuting. Would you suggest I just stick to Indy 169 or 149.
And I just checked the site and they don't have any 169's hybrid.

The hybrids are pretty popular. The only ones they have in stock are the hybrid 149s right now. Now that I really look, Mile High Skates uses normal indys on their tech sliding decks, so you should be fine with the normal indys. Khiros or bones hardcore bushings are good if you find that the stock bushings are lacking.

    Thanks a lot guys.
Lots of skaters ride 169's on their drifters but 149's work just as well.

It is. We've worked on it to make it the best all around slide/ ramp deck with street capabilities. It has almost no flex, even when standing on it flipped over. Deep concave that is shared with the Corchia Pro model and evened out nose and tail. It comes in two colorways, Natural with White/Grey and Black with Red/Orange, in the traditional Earthwing bandana graphic.

I ride the natural with Indy 169's, Bones hard bushings (190+ lbs) and neon Slide a's with Biltin bearings. The wheels glow in the sun and look sooo sexy on the hill.

I've been trying to destroy mine since I got it from the boss man (Brian Petrie) with little success.
