    Default Tech Slide board length

    Hey guys,

I just got some new slide A's because I wanted to try tech sliding, I put them on my Grav Carve 39 and they're really fun. I was just thinking this board seems a little long for really getting into tech sliding (but I'll take it as far as I can haha). So I was just wondering, whats your guy's favorite tech slide board dimensions? Share some opinions. Thanks

PS: I also learned tech decks are really good for doing crazy-ass tech slides I'll never be able to do haha)

Depends what you want... crazy spins ala sergio.. go with 33-35". More styling, drawn out slides, your carve39 is a good length.Personally, after a few years on my executioner (33") I switched exclusively to my be40 (im a measly 5'2 btw). I go back to my ex occasionally, but for the most part, I stick with my brad edwards

    Cool.

I might sell my old (but still in great condition) bike soon. I had my eye on the 34.5 drifter. That or some black/mudstone pucks. After trying my friends blacktops, my greenhorns feel sooo slow haha.

Sounds like an interesting setup. Might be a little odd at 39 inch with Slide As, but it does sound like fun none the less. I'd say either switch the wheels to a lower duro (89-92a) or switch the deck to about 35-36inch. But that's just my opinion. Just cause a longer deck like that is REALLY fun to do old school ripper stuff like just doing really clean colemans and 180s and getting really creative with stuff that doesn't involve big rotations, like dancer tricks and freeriding. Higher duro on a shorter deck is good for really tech stuff like gigantic rotations and MASSIVE power slides.

But hey, do what you'd like, I have yet to try Slide A's on anything but my Agent. Give it a shot, tell how it goes

The Earthwing Jailbird and 34.5 Drifter are pretty sick decks. Something between 32 and 36 is probably what you should be looking for. And about greenhorns vs mudstones/blacktops, UHMWPE is a lot slower than Delrin so thats why your greenhorns feel so slow. I use greenhorns for downhill/softwheels and I use my mudstones for tech sliding because they're so slick and don't melt out on me.
