    Question Black velvet slide pucks?

I want to order some slide pucks and for 20 dollars these seem to be good quality. I ordered them with velcro and finger pucks and I plan to attach these to leather gloves. Are these pucks long lasting and what is the best way to set them up as sliding gloves.

Yea don't worry about the pucks, they'll last you ages. Sewing works well for attaching the velcro, but there are a lot of glues that will do the trick as well. I use some kind of 1part epoxy but shoe goo etc. anything that seems logical should work.

Make your own! Go to wall mart buy a 3 dollar plastic cutting board, then over to crafts for velcro, and some gorilla glue (be sure to get gloves moist) to attach the velcro to the gloves. Wala! 20 bucks and you got gloves and extra pucks!

but cutting boards suck dick. BVs are infinitely better than cutting board.

I am using BV now (with corian fingers) and they're better than corian but delrin is my favorite. I dunno why anyone would use cutting board, corian is much better, it's easier to work with since it comes pre-cut and beveled, and it's free at home depot.

Here's how I attach velcro to my gloves:

First I put some duct tape over the parts of the glove that need pucks on them. I do this while the glove is on my hand so that it forms into a good shape. Try not to wrap it too tight around your fingers (I do a 2 finger ninja turtle design). It helps to wrap the duct tape around your palm at least once to make it even harder for it to come off. Then I just stick the velcro to the duct tape. The velcro's adhesive backing doesn't stick to leather very well at all, but it sticks to duct tape really well. The only time I've had them fail is in sub-freezing temps. At that temp the glue freezes (or something) and comes off easily. But other than that they are great, and when they get tattered or ripped you can just add duct tape. I have an old pair of gloves that are almost completely covered in duct tape.
If you go fast enough, you never have to look back.
