Default Slide stronger, better, faster with honour?

So I've been thinking during one of my slide sessions..is there any way to increase your time actually sliding on the ground? I mean going faster helps, but what I'm looking for is some technique so that your slide is more efficient and takes less effort to slow down. I saw some videos some guys going only 15mph and they literally did like 10 combos and I was like wtf?!? Of course, they're professionals but I don't see how you can do so many slides at a slow speed AND maintain stability. Is it something to do with weight distribution or the pucks your using? Just looking for longer slides at slower speeds.

    harder, smaller wheels.

harder, slipperier, abrasion resistantier, smaller, well beveled pucks.

    steeper, smoother hill.

    more weight on your pucks.

I'm using the loaded gloves with umhw pucks and durains. Adding weight to your hands actually makes you faster? O_o I don't see the physics formula here haha

Less weight on your board = less weight on the wheels = less friction = more slide!

But it won't make you faster.

The idea isn't to put physical weights on your gloves... it's to shift your balance to put more of your body weight on the pucks.

so less friction would equal longer slides, but distributing weight onto your hands necessarily is the same..isn't it? I mean then wouldn't your hands just receive all the friction?

Your pucks are much more slippery than your wheels, Think about it.

They receive more friction, but your pucks take a ton more weight in order to stop them from sliding (less coefficient of friction: think ice instead of rubber). Ideally you should only have the weight of your feet and some of your lower leg on the board when sliding (of course this changes if you're just predrifting or speed checking).

freeride wheels aren't going to slide like tech slide wheels hence them being 2 different things though similar freeriding is about doing combos at speed mostly pendys and standups you seem to be watching tech slide videos so get some slide a's or another hard narrow contact patched wheel and a tech slide deck would help

ya bro just get better equipment, that should be the first step....crap wheels are goin to slide, well...like crap

then just follow wat everyone else is saying...play around with wieght distribution, hand/foot position, hell even move your pucks around on your glove. basically watever you need to make you more comfortable on your board, the rest will come with time and practice...just remember dont be afraid to eat sh*t, play around until you find what works for you...hell we were all there once
