best way to un-flatspot a wheel
I guess you're just supposed to pendy the #### out of it, but where's the best spot to put it? For a toeside pendy, which wheel gets the most wear? I was thinking toeside front or toeside rear.

In colemans in my experience the heelside wheels get worn.. I'd imagine a pendy would wear the wheels evenly?

In toeside pendies my front toeside gets the most wear.

I think a lathe is the only way. Riding it will just make it worse. Any time you slide that wheel is gonna stop on that spot, therefore wearing that one spot worse.

Re: best way to un-flatspot a wheel
Well the wheel is practically dead (a guy asked my if I put inheats n my evo the other day) so I think I'm just gonna go to a local hill and tuck for top speed (whatever that'll be with a hella flatspotted wheel) and throw the fattest pendy I can in a do-or-die to save the wheel.
Anyone want to sell me some inheats/bigz/83mm 81a flys?

Re: best way to un-flatspot a wheel
A few pendys just fixed the one flat spot I got. I noticed that if your slide stays fluid and your weight distribution on the board is somewhat even than you rarely get flat spots, even on long prolonged colemans and pendys.

Re: best way to un-flatspot a wheel
if the flatspot is small enough you can slide it out, but if its big then like someone else said it will just stop on that spot and get bigger. just slide it as fast as you can and try to keep your board angled downhill (or uphill) as much as possible to keep the wheels rolling and make it less likely to stop on the flatspot. If it's too big to slide it out then its time for a ceremonial 'kill the wheel' session.
btw in my experience the front wheels always get the most wear, while heelside slides wear the heelside wheels and toeside slides wear the toeside wheels. and in any slide the downhill facing lips are the ones that chunk and round off. If you want to keep riding a flatspot, put it on the back so you won't be putting as much weight on it. that way you won't notice it as much and it will slow you down less.
If you go fast enough, you never have to look back.
