DH Race colmen stoping advice.

ive been thinking how reckless a footbrake stop can be. speeds of 35mph+ is pretty fast so my question is!!!!!! I'm wondering what wheels would be better to learn slide/stops on? 88a 76mm Gumballs or 78a 80mm Satori Big Buds? Both sets are worn in from my previous use. Thanks in advance.

Easier if you use the hard wheels.

Buuuut it's torn between:

1) Learning to slide on the soft wheels, getting a few scrapes or bruises, but knowing how to slide on soft wheels.

or 2) Learning hard wheels first, then soft wheels. Less falling presumably, but you might not be as comfortable in the end with the soft wheels (or will take longer to get used to maybe)

I learned my Coleman on 66mm 78A no-brand wheels.

i'd say 78A satori wheels.especially if you plan on using that coleman as more of a shut down slide.

this is true. there are alot of times, like when pack riding, that you just don't have space to slide, a footbrake is essential in those situations. you need to be able to footbrake, and slide at whatever speed your going. otherwise you could get really hurt.
