You might want to look at the Bowl Bomber wheels (95a, 64mm). They're center-set, and can be reversed as they wear, etc. Actual hardness is very close to the G-Bones.

I'd say the deck is a bit short, try and get a bit more wheelbase in there.

I don't like my wheels to be that hard as they ride really rough and, at least I find that, they aren't as smooth in the slide.

Check out those Bowl Bombers Mark suggested or 65mm 92a No Skools - reversible 'cos they're centre set, a tad bigger and they'll be a lot smoother.

If you are going to be riding even mildly rough roads get something softer.

gravity 39" carve. i really dig this board. all around good fun. personally i prefer the longer 43", but it looks like you want to stick to something shorter. the 39 is NICE.

Alva Black Caddy or All American, 36" and 38" respectively. Or, look at the 36" Gravity (or 38" JP).

the 36 gravity is a nice, nice board, my friend has one with the gravity sliding wheels...nice...but it wobbles a little, thats expected though...

hmm, whats the downside to a smaller wheel base, i know that with the smaller wheel base, spinning is easier, but what could be bad

i say go with your original setup then. the thing about skating is that whatever you got, you're gonna make it work. once you get the feel for sliding that setup, you're gonna be aware of the pros and cons, and you're gonna make it work.

smaller wheel base means that you will wobble easier, but you dont always have to go fast to slide, you can still get some speed up and not wobble and with looser trucks its even easier to slide, however haole has a good point...

i find sliding longer boards is a little easier... you have more room for feet combinations so its easier to mix and match your slides, but my 33 inch boards seem to hold their own pretty well...i say go at your board..im just not a fan of pool boards

go for that 38 inch Alva, I hear they are really well built decks.

My next sliding deck will be a Lush Park 38 becasue the pointed nose on my Deathbox is not very functional - too small a surface area.

I'd stay away from cambered decks to begin with as I have been thrown off of them by the flex when I started sliding.

The longer nose is borrowed from popsicle designs. More leverage for nollies, etc. Admittedly, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense on a board that long.

The Hammerhead is a cool deck, but I prefer the consistent width of the Alvas and Gravitys.
