Corchia Setup
Alright,so I've decided I want to get into more tech sliding. On soft wheels I can toeside and heelside pendulum, coleman, and 180 toeside and heelside 180 powerslide. So for the Corchia I was planning on this:
Indy 169's
Earthwing 62mm Slide A's
1/4in Khiro Hard Riser (or should it be 1/2?)
Bones Red's
If there is anything I should tweak for optimal performance, please tell me. Oh and by the way, what length should the hardware be? 1inch?

They just came out with the new models on the 11th.

Re: Corchia Setup
Try to go with no riser. IMO your trucks should not be loose enough to get wheelbite. That's a preference that a majority of tech sliders have (tighter trucks).

Re: Corchia Setup
you can find the old red one at http://www.thelongboardstore.com/lon...-corchia-deck/ under new old stock. the new one is described as having torsional flex so you can steer the individual trucks... and i don't think i want that. i think i will just be making my own soon.

Re: Corchia Setup
how much of a difference would it make if i bought this for tech sliding vs. a skinny girl skateboard thats warped a little bit. like is it worth paying the 75 bucks. does the longer weelbase make it harder to do spins or is it unnoticable? Thanks

Its not about the wheelbase, its about the width of the deck. On street decks your feet will fall off during rotations A LOT. IF you're on a slide deck, you're anchored down a lot better.

Re: Corchia Setup
im really sorry im kind of totally thread jacking this guy. im convinced and im gonna buy one right now, so where should i buy it i saw daddies and longboardskater had it in red, but i want blue. im not sure if ill get blue if i order directly from earthwing. anyway if it comes down to it i wont care about the color one bit, just if possible i want it blue. and to kinda make up for the thread jack, to the original poster if you use risers get 1.25" hardware if not just 1 inch is fine.

Re: Corchia Setup
I run 1/4 riser on my slide setup with 169s.. I don't like it too tight and unless you're trucks are pretty firm you're going to be getting wheelbite with 62mm's.
Wheelbite is not something I like, especially on a double kick. Nothing like getting pitched right as you land a gap...

Re: Corchia Setup
Hell yeah risers for the sloppy loose slides! I think by having tighter trucks it makes the wheels feel less easy to break out, but gives you a more defined start and end to your slide. Personally I like the sloppy all over the place feeling.
