At the top of a hill at a very rapid speed there's only one place to go.
At the top of a hill at a very high speed there's nowhere to go but down.

Re: what slide board should i get?
probably the new corchia. super light.
the 34 five drifter is pretty great too...
i don't think you can't get any old drifters though. i still rock that, after nearly 2 years of complete thrashing.. thermoplastic is a wonderful thing.

Re: what slide board should i get?
I dunno, this may seem a little TOO obvious, that I might be missing something.
But... if you want a board like Sergio, why don't you get a Sergio Yuppie Pro Model from Gravity? :P GRAVITY SKATEBOARDS | SERGIO YUPPIE 33 SLIDER
Or get the pool boards he uses often for sliding.

A longboard is a skateboard in the same way a MILF is still a mother.

Re: what slide board should i get?
My current favorite is the gravity pool 35, but you can't go wrong with the 34.5 drifter or the Yuppie model. I have no experience with the Corchia, but it gets good reviews on here.

Re: what slide board should i get?
I love my EW drifter, but you can't go wrong with any of the one's mentioned. My next slide board might be a Rayne Agent.

Re: what slide board should i get?
just get the SY33, you'll love it

Re: what slide board should i get?
not to derail but i read that is flexs into the turn, aka torsional flex. is that true, and how well does it work/is it beneficial.
" It features a tight, snappy torsional flex to keep all 4 wheels on the ground in spins. The ride much more forgiving, and fluid much like how a snowboard works. You can feel the turn of each truck individually, and opens up doors for innovation. "- From Daddies

yeah, the Sergio twists a lil bit...
it's the best feeling board i've ever slid, and one of my favorite boards ever, for everything
don't know if that's due to the torsional flex or not, i generally like a rock solid board, but the SY33 just feels right hauling ass down a hill

Re: what slide board should i get?
I'm 6'1" and I own a Gravity SY slide deck. It does have torsional twist which is nice but for me it's too small. I've been thinking about getting a bigfoot/drifter/chorchica. Does 3" more make a big difference? Has anybody ridden them all? What's your favorite?

i learned how to (hands down) slide on a JP38

Re: what slide board should i get?
I'm a big guy, and i use the 39' carve 1 as my primary sliding board, i've used a bunch of other board's made for sliding, but this just feels good to me, I like to feel like i'm sliding on an actual longboard, slide boards feel to much like i'm just riding a regular pop-stick skateboard. I'm sure i would feel differently if i wasn't so fat. ha, but hey,I have a sergio yuppie slide board with stock trucks and some gravity snaps, that i may be willing to part with. The board and trucks are barely used and ingreat shape.

Re: what slide board should i get?
I just got a new Corchia, first impressions is that its sick, awesome concave, and very light.

Re: what slide board should i get?
I'm eyeing the gravity 36 pool board... I want something that I can ollie with relative ease (in my shortboard hayday I could clear a recycling bin all day), but I'm thinking I want the WB to be 17"+. Riding a streetboard just feels so unnatural now. So I was thinking the poolside 36 with Indy 169's and some slide a's. I like the 36's symetric nose and tail. How much riser should I anticipate needing? I typically ride loose.

you'll probably get by fine with just an 8th inch soft riser
P36 is a great all around board
