Rayne Nemesis?
I searched and found some info, but not what I was looking for. I read all the reviews and none were any help. I was wondering what people who have ridden it or people who have it think about it. I can do 180 standups, colemans, speedchecks, and some other slides that I dont know what they're called. How is this board for standups (I know its good for other slides, but nobody said anything about standups). How is it for pushing? Is it really heavy? I know its alot to ask, but anything you have to say about it will help.

I owned one so this is all first hand knowledge.
Great for all those slides, there are plenty of videos of it sliding.
It isn't very heavy.
It is a great commuter board. I commuted 2 to 3 miles to work and back on it almost every day.
Overall, it's a winner in my book.

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
sick board man, PERFECT for stand up slides and all slides. its really comfy for your feet they fit in perfectly. Its somewhat heavy, so when you push it glides. I love it, you should buy it

i dont believe you searched because all your questions have been answered in other threads.
but that aside, its a really fun board! i learned to do my standies on it and its the first board i took over 40. the slight drop works similar to the drop on the killswitch and really locks your feet in for standups. its not that heavy of a board, ive taken it on 5+ mile trips and the weight didnt affect me too much.
its a great board, and the symmetry is great. the deck is really wide but i got used to it pretty quick. btw i wear a size 10 shoe.
TINKERING WITH YOUR SETUP IS HALF THE FUN OF BOARDING.

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
What is your height/weight? Your profile says you are 13, so I assume you are smaller framed (at the moment). The Nemesis is good for slides if you give it a slide-y setup. I roll BigZig limes on mine, which are pretty grippy wheels, so I went ahead and dropped it through, in pursuit of a balance of grippy carviness when I need it, and low slideyness when I want it. I got my wish.
Board size and weight is all relative. I think the Nemesis should be light and small enough for you; especially since it seems that you are a proficient rider already. I think it would be a great choice; something that is small enough to be manageable, but that still leaves you a little room to grow into.
EDIT: The only thing about the Nemmy is that it is very wide. Especially for someone who I imagine to have smaller feet. If you don't mind doing some step-work if/when necessary then it shouldn't be a big deal. Some people hate that; but it doesn't really bother me. I am a size 10.5.

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
Thanks, I'll probably run it with the durians (83a) so it should work fine

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
One last question, on the rayne sight there is the nemesis with the blue logo and it says that it has carbon stringers and 5 plies of bamboo. On other sites like daddies they have the green and orange logo and mention nothing about carbon stringers. Do both boards have them and daddies is just leaving it out of the description, or is the one on rayne's website a newer model?

love mine! best allarounder ever!
Blue stickers are only given to the select few people to suck adam coltons balls, and do it skillfully enough to give him blue balls. Thus resulting in the giving of the rare Blue Loaded Sticker.

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
set it up with some mhs hybrid 215s or paris 180s and whatever drifty wheels. awesome

At the top of a hill at a very high speed there's nowhere to go but down.

That is a good question. I believe the green and orange one is the 08 model, and the blue is 09. Mine is an 08, and I was told that there were no significant changes between model years. The differing descriptions does make me wonder now, though....
Anybody know if there is a difference?

Yeah, I just got the 08 version today and am wondering the same. Also, the board slides so well. I have a size 10 shoe and could do toeside and heelside 180s with ease and minimal (if any) shifting of feet. I'm using 42 degree Randal 180s and Otang 86a Durians.

I heard that the orange one is the newer one

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
my guess is that it would be lighter/stronger with the carbon stringers.
would a size 9.5 fit well on the board? im considering getting it to go faster than i do on my fsm. (i dont think i've gone past 20 as yet)

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
The Nemesis - Light, great for standups, versatile, grippy with the right wheels, slippy with the right wheels, wide for big feet and lots of lever to pitch it around. I ran 42.5º on mine, made it fun.
You should consider the Isis. It is basically an update to the Nemesis chassis for smaller peeps. (That comes directly from Rayne...) And it makes a great coloring book! They should sell it with a pack of Sharpie Markers.

Re: Rayne Nemesis?
i have 9-9.5 size feet also. i also had a nemesis and found that my feet slid around a bit in the width of the deck. when i noticed the isis was coming out i decided to sell the nemesis and i bought an isis. best decision i could have made. i havent stopped riding the isis since.
the nemesis will work fine. it was a great ride. i just found the isis had a narrower platform that fit my smaller feet better.
just my two cents.

Great for standups. Solid, smooth, comfortable, locks you in.
Pushing is great.
It is extremely heavy for a board of only 39", but it's not heavy overall. It's heavier than a derv, and lighter than a board with one more ply than it lol. I skate it to class everyday and never notice it being heavy or a pain to maneuver.
I love it. So much more than my last board (which was lighter, more flexible, and thus flimsier).
Don't worry about the purchase, there is no way you could regret it. (well, I over exaggerate, but it's a great purchase).
Edit: I have the newest one, non-flushcut with carbon stringers and such. Ordered from so-calskateshops.
I love longboarding. Especially slope-style free-riding. Mmm.
