Best Slide gloves/pucks for price

I'm currently in need of a pair of slide gloves but i don't really know anything about what gloves are good or bad. or even about different kinds of pucks. my friend had a pair of triple 8 gloves that worked pretty good but he lost them....

any help?

Honestly I would just make some. Find some comfortable gardening or work gloves, a cutting board, and some velcro/superglue. Cut some pucks, glue/velcro them to the gloves. Boom, slide gloves.

Here are my pairs.

Left: Free Corian Samples and $2 leather work gloves (simple yet VERY effective. I love them.)
Right: Mothers cutting board I took from the kitchen and $12 safety gloves



Go to Home Depot and ask for free Corian samples. Watch out. Lately, they've been getting people to sign a roster for the samples and they expect you to return them. Some places even want a deposit.

I got mine for free without problems... But tonight I actually went to HomeDepot for some 1" 10 32 bolts for my drop carve, and they wanted me to give them my information.

find a company that does kitchen counters, chances are they throw away a whole shitload of sink cut-outs all the time, a lot of them done in corian.

Alright thanks guys. i already have a set of leather work gloves, cann0n so i'll try some of those. and i'll probly end up going to homedepot at some point and try to grab some corian.

Darkspeeds are also a good choice. $12 and they'll last you forever. I've been skating mine hard and a year later they're only halfway done. I think if I rotated them more they could last longer. Maybe try a set after the Corian.

Sundae Skates and Darkspeed are both excellent. I think the pucks are the same thing as Corian and they come equipped with some super grippy Velcro. Tommy and Dorian don't screw around; lay down your twelve bucks (plus shipping) and your pucks will be in the mail that day.

I'm gonna have to throw in a second for Mudslide. Jeff's a great guy with spectacular customer service (my gloves shipped a week later than expected, so he threw in a free set of pucks and free velcro) and MudStones slide better than anything I've tried... Cutting board, corian, UHMWPE, the MudStones kick the crap out of all of them.

I actually went and looked it up, and a full set of mechanix gloves + pucks from MudSlide costs less than the gloves alone at retail price. I don't know how he does it, but it really is a fantastic operation he's got going on there.

i go in, open the drawer, take usually 2 sets of the big corian pucks (4 of em) head to the velcro then check out. never been questioned before haha, done that maybe 4 times? some roads just eat corian like crazy and others it just glides over the pavement.

i moved away from corian to black velvets, they actually just came in the mail yesterday and i havent skated em yet. stoked on not having shards of corian bouncing off my face when i throw toeside predrifts now...

The whole time you were talking to me about your new pucks, I was think dark speed for some reason. Dark speed, Black velvet. Im pretty sure neither of them are Corian....and one of them is from Canada.

Ive been using some mudslide tech green horn pucks. Round and doing well after like 4 or 5 weeks. Should last for another two months Id say.

Dorian, when ordering the dark speed pucks off your site do you include 2 pucks, or just one?
