    Default Soft wheel sliding

First off I wanna say that I know all different slides are possible on any setup you want. However I was wondering what slides are "improbable" on soft wheels. I have a bc eel with S9 RF's 76mm 80a. I've learned colemans, ts 180's, and am working on perfecting my pendys(both TS and HS). My question is should I even bother to try 360's or any other more "tech" slide on soft wheels? I can do hs 360's on my slide deck back home but I was unable to bring it up to school with me so thats out of the question.

    Any comments?

I seen people do 360s both standup and hands down on soft wheels. Pressure spins will probably be a bit difficult, and i imagine blunts could get a bit sketchy.

I've yet to see a clean standup 360 on soft wheels on dry pavement, but yeah... What Gav said.

360's on soft wheels are less an actual 360 and more like two 180's in really quick succession. give it a try. they're fun. and avoid knee down slides. the bigger board, especially with no kicktail, flying around in the event of a crash or loss of control could really #### you up. everytime i've messed up some form of knee down blunt (on an earthwing bigfoot) the board came after me with a vengeance. the extra size and weight of your eel would turn it into a wheeled wrecking ball.

Yeah, I have to get technical....

2 180s is just that 2 180. A 360 is one fluid motion. I've only ever seen it done by Mike Benda in the rain in one of Andrew Chapman's vids....

    I'll check out Mark Shorts...

*EDIT* OK, Mark Shorts soft wheel 360 is the only one I've ever seen on dry pavement...SICK

I think that 360s are a possibility, i rode 75mm 72a and pulled it off a couple times. However i rode and slid them so much that there were alot fo chunks missing and hardly any lip, this might have made it easier to slide

Mike benda did it, i saw it in a coast video kicking around somewhere

But benda is insane, i don't know how he does it.

To the OP i ride 80a in heats and im doing every kind of slide i can on them, toeside standys, heelside standys , pendys and speedchecks all both toeside and heelside, switch and regular, except for switch heelside pendys, i can't wrap my head around that. So really, anything is possible with speed and a bit of skill!

Of benda, or me? I didn't mean to come across in a bragging manner, i was just trying to get the point across that it's possible. I don't do any filming because i usually skate with my one other friend on skyline (famous vancouver hill) near our houses. I started skating around wolf mcgoldrick etc. so its pushed me, but i don't think im gonna be coming out with a vid any time soon if thats what you ment lol.

I've been doing this on my race setup. Pre' easy. Get's even easier switch, brah. I've been doing my own variations and mixing it up with some nose and tail blunts in the middle.

In this case hard wheel is like in the high 90a (wheels like Sergio sliders and Earthwing Slide A's) and soft wheels being everything else so anything 80a is definitely soft wheel.
