    Default Diamondtail for sliding?

I just bought a diamondtail for my brother but now, he says he wants to learn how to slide on it. I told him that the DT is pretty flexy and thus, would be difficult to learn on. Would a DT with seismics or randals be a good board to start with?

I'm in the process of convincing to get a G&S 38" fiberflex instead, only because I want one. Would the G&S be better to learn on?

Summary: DT or G&S for beginner?
    Randals/Seismics?

imho I would got with the G&S and Randals

the G&S will get thrashed though
The sage, Longboard Buddha once said, "A tree spends 100% of its lifetime in a static environment and only after its reincarnation as a deck is it allowed to move at fast speeds...
when allowed, the wood will give thankless service if
    allowed to flow."

That's alright. At least if he loses interest I'll have a new board. He has a bad back and I think the pain will soon get to him.
