Default damn 360 slides are killing me

ive been trying to nail a 360 for the past 2 hours and i still cant, i dont know what im doing wrong. i initiate the slide, pull my right arm over and put it onto the ground, but as soon as i try and start the second 180, my back foot flys off and i lose the board down the hill. the board keeps turning thru the 360, but im 5 feet up the hill...do i just need to push my front foot harder out, or do some wacky weight transfer

are you regular footed or goofy footed, are you spinning frontsied or backside (e.g. does your back face downhill in the first spin or your front)?

when i first started doing 360s, i had the same problem...the thing that i needed to do was to get a lot of speed...it helped me and it made them look a lot smoother...

the key for me was to do the first 180 with my knee dropped. yeah you do need to push your front foot pretty hard and putting your foot on the tail wont hurt.

Keep the board close to you. You need to be able to feel the board control. You should feel like you and your board are one object, not two. Control your board, don't let your board control you.

Get a nice sturdy position, lean over the board, and slide, concentrating on board control.

You must be one with the board!

also sounds like you are taking all your weight off of your back foot...you need to leave some on there. Try and go into it with pretty much equal qweight on both feet and try and keep the board as much underneath you as you possibly can and keep your hands close to the board/your body as well!

    Good luck!

yea i just recently nailed the backside 360 and the trick is that when you lean into it . Start to do almost a surender and pivot of your hand. it doesnt go as fast but it looks smooth.
    Those who cant longboard,.... skate.
