Default Sliding Deck and Wheels Recommendations?

Okay... after all this pming to Mark and the rest of you guys.. I've decided not to get sliding wheels for my Hyper Carve, and will leave that as my cruising/carving deck. And will save up for a sliding board only. Any good recommendations? Take in mind I'm 4'11" and weigh 122 lbs. This will be my first sliding deck ever. Post pics if you have any. Thanks!

Just get a shortboard. That's what I'm learning on myself. The concave and double kicktail really let you lock in your feet and the hard park wheels are easy to slide. Most people end up juste getting a "bigger" park/pool board to slide (36"-42" range) because the shortboard are a little small for them - but since you are petite... I think a shortboard would be perfect for you (says the person who has only done a handful of pendulums in his life).

Vote #2 for the shortboard... get some softer bushings for the trucks(so they actually turn) and you'll be set. Something like a mini logo complete should be cheap and have decent components.

I'd look at a Lib-Tech Longboard, and I'd also take a look at the SkullSkates lineup. In my opinion, shortboards are a bit too small to do really comfortable, stylish slides.

maybe team 36" or BE 40" from gravity, Lib tech and Skull skates are good choices too.

Thanks, guys! I'll check out all three companies and see which one I like best. I figured I'd also use the sliding board for skate parks too.. since I just found an outdoor one with concrete!!! Yeah!!!!

    A shortboard 8.5" x 15" Indy's with
soft red bushings. I would not go shorter
than 15" WB. I just went to 17.5" from
15.5" and the 17.5" is better for me.

I use to ride a S9 pintail 42" and that was plenty short for me going downhills. So I'm going to go and get the BE Model 40"

    Good choice.

Also, consider the $12 Foundation wheels I currently have one sale. Hard to go wrong at that price.

I have the BE40 and use it as my slider now. It's a great board. I also just scored a set of those 12 dollar wheels! You rule Mark! 8)

Cool, Mark!!! When I get the money I'll probably order the board from you. I'll check out those wheels too.
