pool board of some sort, 34-38 inches, double kicked, some indys or trackers, and some hard wheels like no skoolz, 96a, or sergio sliders, or even rainskates tsunamis, 95a, or hornets, 98a

I think its a good setup maybe change the wheels to Strikers or Sergios sliders. Nice setup thru keep up the good work.

I just made the same decision and the PPS Hammerhead in either a 36" or 38" should be pretty sweet, I went with the latter. I also really dig the sergio's for pure sliding, they seem really slick but easy to control at the same time.
Skiing is more fun...

I'm also gonna add on how good Sergio's are. Don't be afraid of too hard a duro but in the long run it makes slides farther and longer, more time to do stuff, alot funner.

Reds bearings
Everything Mark says is right on except........biltin bearings. I love biltins for sliding, they feel more solid and predictable.

so your saying hes smart and safe and doesnt want to injure himself so he can keep skating if he takes a hard bail...

biltins indeed, i go them in my no skoolz on my slide setup, the spacers are perfect and everything, the only problem i have is that the shields dent so so easily, i have z-roller trucks which have a floatin axel, and its really weird when tightenin them down, and its tough to get the amount of tightness ust right, ive dented partially some of the sheilds, but overall they are great bearings

i don't get what you're saying... please explain how bearings can feel predictable or unpredictable? switch out bearings in the same deck/wheel/truck setup very often and have yet to notice a difference except for top speed.

I ride a 46" board for sliding, it's a Motion Highlander, it's more a carving board but since it has so much flex and since it's long i get to lean on it a lot and the flex makes me pop quick rotation's.
I use powell 97 A but i tried the Sergio and they are the ****!
I also got a BE40 from Gravity but i havent given it a real try yet.
Id like to try a short board to slide eventualy but how many board is a small canadian kid to buy in a summer ( the BE40 was my 4th )
Do you guys ever slide large decks?

Being able to crank the biltins down I feel I know when the wheels are going to let loose. They just feel solid to me. The biltin spacers I am theorizing (I'm not a smart man) also would handle side loads much better. My $.02

So for a sliding set up is there a size of board to size of rider ratio?
I am 6'4" and I feel like anything much shorter than 40 would make it difficult to get my knee down.
THis is said with no experience cause I don't have a slider yet, but I am looking and I really like the BE40.
I have a gravity pool 33 and love it. I also have a 40+ comet that is doing nothing right now so I am thinking of using it but I just don't like the feel that much.
Outside of a dog a skateboard is man's best friend....inside there just isn't enough room.

I wonder what Cliff and Sergio primarily use for sliding? Like a 33 or something?

Cliff uses a custom 36" deck he designed himself.
Spinning complacently in the darkness
Covered and blinded by a blanket of little lives
False security has lulled the madness of this world into a slumber
Wake Up!

sergio uses the gravity team 36 i believe.
36" is a way good length.... you get much more control over the board than with a 40" IMO
