Default Slides: Gloves, Wheels and my board

So I've been wanting to get into some serious sliding, and I need to know what I'm gonna need. I currently ride a Gravity Mini Carve with 80a wheels and trackers. First, is my board ok for sliding or do I need something smaller? (which would suck because I cant afford a whole new deck...) As for wheels I was thinking I'd get some sergio sliders, and I noticed that gravity sells slide gloves as well. Are these any good? I doubt I'd have the patience to make my own. Advice is appreciated.

people seem to enjoy the mini carve for an all around ride... including sliding. I myself have never ridden one but would like to. Sergios are mighty fine sliding wheels. and as for gloves i was going to pick up some gravity gloves from a skateshop near my beach house called innervision. but the owner never got them in... i reccommend making your own its a fun experience.

    DECK:
About sliding a minicarve, here are some quotes found using the search function (try it!):

    WHEELS
Sergio Sliders are apparently awesome for trick sliding, very slick and slidey (try searching for comments on them).

    GLOVES
Here's a review for Lush, Motion, and Gravity slide gloves (prices and links to where you can buy them included!). Pick which one sounds good to you.

    TRUCKS:
Your trucks are fine! (any will do). So all you need are some harder duro wheels and some gloves and you'll be set! Rock on!

I hear the Sergios are extremely slippery, will that mean that my mellower slides will be somewhat uncontrolable? Also, I guess I'll probly make some gloves, those ones are pretty damn expensive.

mini carves are freaking sweet for sliding. do you have any regular skateboard wheels? those wheels are good for sliding and you dont have to spend 30 bucks on a new set of wheels(so you can buy some gloves)...
