Default Easy controlled slides on soft wheels?

    Ok. Heres my strainge request.

I want a board that i can slide to control speed. carve like a mainiac and be super fast on the flats...oh and also i need to use soft wheels because a good part of my commuting is on rough footpath and i hate the feel of hard as hell wheels.

I have a freeboard which obviously slides real easy but its a pain in the arse on the flat.
my flowboard is to damn slow on the flat.

i have a soul four longboard with 76mm 78 kryptos on but sliding those puppies is madness.

anyone got an idea of board or board setup that will be good for me????

An idea i've had is the super soft wheel but machining the width down so theres less surface area. This way i should be able to slide easier and still have a smooth ride!?

    Any comments??

PS the roads i slide on are smooth..... its the commuting to and from the roads thats harsh.

Some Krypto Route 70's, in 65mm. 78a durometer, they stick to the ground like glue when carving, yet slide like a little china bitch. And look awesome.

Right side , back side wheel is gonna explode if you keep sliding them.

i've been experimenting with the biggest rollerblade wheels i can find (in a 75a duro) . the baord goes crazy fast for communting, and still has a super smooth, minimal vibration ride.

the wheels are dirt cheap too... got em for 6 bucks from a used sporting goods shop.

something to try, you can never have too many wheels....

yeah, until you do a hard carve and your wheels explode! theres a post around here somewhere about a kid who used cored razor scooter wheels on his homemade board, and pictures of what happened!

HIS WHEELS EXPLODED! but no really, they pretty much just chunked in half. one whole half of the wheel broke off right up to the core.

then again, razor wheels arent rollerblade wheels. there made to roll and get almost no actuall sidways action, whereas most decent skate wheels are more equiped for that sorta thing.

even better, theres some skate wheels that are shaped like narrow skateboard wheels.
