    Default trying to slide...

I just started trying to slide of street g 85a wheels, but each time I try to slide, I only feel the board actually start to slide when the board starts to go up the hill, and I consequently lose control.

All i'm doing is getting some speed, crouching down, grippinng my board and dragging my other hand along the pavement. any tips?

Ok. First off. Loosen your trucks so you can get some good lean. Push as fast as you can (preferable down a mellow hill) and grab the board and put your other hand down. Then carve AS HARD AS YOU CAN and try to get off the baord as much as you can. The board should whip around a 180. After practicing that a lot you will be able to control it more and do cooler slides. If you want to do trick slides you might want to get some harder wheels later on.

the wheels are fine, any wheels can be slid, and anything 80a and up can be slid easily. get more leverage on your wheels and put more weight on your hand when you drag it on the ground. kinda lean-spin-kick at the same time when you carve into the slide and that should help some.
