for your slide decks do you guys like wider contact patch wheels, or thinner ones, im on pretty thin wheels now and they slide like im on ice, but im looking at getting some wider wheels

    i prefer wider wheels

the narrower wheels side too fast i like to be able to savor my slide

what about flatspotting, ive heard that a wider wheel doesnt flatspot as easily but i was sliding with a freind yesterday and he is riding pink polkadots (http://www.milehighskates.com/catalo...roducts_id=804)
and i was on the foundation wheels, which are must smaller contact patch and his wheels flatspotted rather quickly while mine held up fine, but are 97a

the pink wheels have a small contact patch also...i like both wheels, but skinnier wheels definitely flatpot quicker...i have heard good reviews about no skoolz. i dont slide mine just because i am afraid to flatspot them, but go with no skoolz or mini cubics...i have the mini cubics and they havent flatspotted yet

get a fatter wheel and you will notice a difference[/img]

They'll slide as fast as you ride. If you want them to slide faster, go faster. From my experience a small wheel will flatspot easily unless it's a really high quality urethane. A wide wheel will slide just as well and will not flatspot as easily. I rock a mid size wheel, the Powell G-Bone, for all my technical sliding and for park riding.
