    Default great sliding day in jersey

    it rained all late-morning/early afternoon, then cleared up. by the time i got outta work it was sunny (a little humid perhaps) but the roads were stilll damp: aka a perfect day for sliding.

    i had my lance mountain re-issue in the car w/ 85a ratbone reissues. i like sliding pool/oldschool boards. i was a little leary about using it in the wet, but my beater board was at home (of course). but it looked like such a good sliding day i said "fuk it."

    went to my favorite hill & started in - before long i had re-taught myself how to do heelside slides.

    i say re-taught bec. i could do em 15-20 years ago, but the motion had been eluding me in my more advanced age, although i re-learned toe-sides in a matter of minutes. something about laying back like that while moving was tweaking me a little.

    but now that i got it dialed in on the wet pavement, it'll be a short hop to do it dry. i just needed to get the confidence and motion back.

    rak = happy.
