    Default Wierd sliding problem

So basically, I've been trying to learn how to slide for a while now. I have this one specific problem too. I can break into a 180, but the force from the tail whipping around throws me off the board once the 180 is done. Any ideas on how to fix this?

More weight on your hands, less on the board.

yeah, definately more weight on the hands, I also had this problem earlier on and found that if my back foot was all the way on the tail as opposed to somewhere near the truck, I had a lot fewer problems as well, not sure why but it definately made a difference

Ya do that and hold on to the rail of your board. if you get that down you can pull it back. takes some prctice though.
Do you choose to bomb hills with sick speed?
Or carve all the way down? Slide and spin out of control? What ever it is as long as its LOngboarding! SHOUT OUT TO THE NATIV CREW

NO NOT GRAB YOUR RAIL! It may seem easier and less scary at first but it promotes bad technique, and it can be a pretty hard habit to break once you've started. I had a similar problem to you when I first started sliding, and it went away when I STOPPED grabbing the rail. Good "Slide Skool" here:

Watch the videos, read what you're supposed to be doing, then go practise!
