Default first gloves --- lush style.

i made up some gloves this weekend. they were a little pricey for a home made pair. i used some mechanics/work gloves from home depot (14.99) and some industrial strength velcro (7.50 for 4 feet of it). i should be able to get about 3 sets of gloves out of the 4 feet, plus maybe some extra pucks. i made the pucks out of some smoke tinted lexan i had laying around the shop and the thumb puck is made out of lexan tube. i kept rolling my thumb under with a flat puck, but this round one is soooooo titttties. what do you guys think ??

Awesome... great details on those gloves... the angled palm puck, and the tubular thumb puck are great ideas. Better get 'em patented quick!

after a couple light sessions (im learning), the velcro has been holding up great. in fact, i didnt even have to glue the velcro on, the adhesive on the back of the velcro i got is friggin amazing. i cant even pull it off if i try.

i really like the angled palm pucks. i was looking at the lush gloves and i dont see how they plan on getting away with a flat peice down there. thats how i started with them, but it would get caught if your hand was behind you. now it is no problem. if you want to do it, just open your toaster oven, hold the plastic over the heating element while it is glowing, wait for it to bubble or droop a little, and pull it out and bend it against a table until you have the correct angle, enough to keep it off the pavement, but not far enough to get it into your wrist.

next step is making pucks of different materials. i tried some grey PVC sheet, but it seemed way too soft. i have some UHMW and some delrin im going to try. i also have some 1/4" teflon sheet that im thinking about making some pucks out of,i think it will wear down REALLY fast tho, and im not sure how the adhesive will stick to it.

    questions/comments are always appreciated. -dan
