Re: How to Coleman Slide Article Survey -- Please Participate
1) I am 24 years old
2) I have been skating recreationally for 14 years
3) I still consider myself a beginner b/c i have not practiced any impressive techniques
4) Yes i did. i have to build up a lot of speed amually though, b/c there are no hills in my area
5) It took me about 3 hours to do my first acceptable slide. im still trying to perfect it.
6) I think the longboarding and skateboarding communities can use more articles as well written as this one. There is always something new to learn, and there are a lot of people out there to teach us how to do them.

1) What is your age?
- 15 years old.
2) How many years have you been skating?
- 3 years, 1 longboarding.
3) What is your percieved level of skating expertise, beginner/intermediate/advanced?
- Beginner.
4) Did you learn how to do the Coleman slide after reading the article? Yes or No
- Yes.
5) If you learned this slide, how long did it take? How many hours or attempts.
- I did it in my first attempt, but sometimes I can't do it properly, I just make a really sharp turn and fall.
6) Do you wish to see further skateboard related technical articles posted on the fish? Examples are How to make slide gloves, How to pump a skateboard, How to footbrake, etc. If so submit a brief list of your requests.
- Yes, all of them.
P.S: Oh, I got a Dervish, it's coming in about 10 - 15 days! My setup is going to be this:
-Loaded Dervish Flex 1 (I weigh 180lb)
-Randal RII 180 Trucks with stock bushings
-1/8 risers (lowerers on Dervish)
-Abec 11 Strikers 77mm 88a
-Bones Reds Bearings
Is it good for sliding? I'll use it for everything (cruising, sliding, dancing, downhill, etc...), this will be my main board. What do you guys think?

Not yet. I've watched some youtube vids had a few practices and then came here.
5) If you learned this slide, how long did it take? How many hours or attempts. I'm still on the practice-the-squatted-heelside-turn stage, but getting there.
6) Do you wish to see further skateboard related technical articles posted on the fish?
As a noobie, they'd all be welcome. Yup, the slide glove making, parts choosing, all the techniques, resources (like youtube channels and books and DVD recommendations).
The website is great BTW. Great tone without any silly, juvenile stuff. Thanks heaps.
