What's the best slide puck material???

i use oil impregnated UMHW i belive. they are awsome. ive been wondering about garvity's delrin tho

I have the new gravity gloves, Ive only used them twice tho. The delrin is wayyy more slidey than cutting board, the thumb puck has been wearing too fast tho, maybe its just im not very balanced on my slides. So I would say oil impregnated UHMW or Delrin would be the top two fastest pucks.

These are my experiences with puck materials:

- non-oil-impregnated UHMW lasts along time but doesn't slide very well.( I may have gotten the wrong stuff.)
- cheap cuttingboard slides really well but wears out very fast.
- lush v1 pucks slide really well and wear pretty slowly... I've tried all the above and ended up going back to them on my gloves.
- I've got some Corian in the mail from AlexMoore and I hope that it works well.
- very interested in tryin oil-impregnated UHMW and Delrin.... only time will tell.

Corian slides well, but wears out way to fast. I ground down a 2" x 2" puck to a sliver in only a few sessions, and my sessions aren't super crazy like some people.

i have only used corian and it seems to be the most cost efficent. I use 1\2" think corian so it seems to last a while. Ive never done any of those high speed slides though. Those will prolly kill any pucks fast.

I have some UHMW Oil Impregnated and it seems to last the longest. Regular UHMW seems to last just as long.

I think thats what lush uses for the palms. Works great for me too.

Yeah the lush palms are great, little bit on the sticky side, but they last forever

corian wears noticeably different on different pavement types, i still think its the best way to go, slides great relatively easy to obtain and in most cases free

corian is free, slides well, and doesnt wear quick, but today I finally fell victim to what it really is, a piece of tile. It broke in half very easily, and if im counting on that stuff to protect me when I fall, it feels way too sketchy. right now I'm rethinking what material I should use.

Im fine with cutting board for now. Idealy i would want to get some more UHMW, or some other similar material. I have one set of gloves with corian but I dont like the way it slides at all, it feels like im sliding on chalk.
