    lol that's always an option.

I don't mind doing extra work to get what I want. I'd rather put in a bit of overtime and be completely satisfied than be forced to put up with something I didn't really want. That and I'm making my gloves because it's cheaper than buying them but I want to make quality gloves. You know?

Anyways, I finally got smart and just clicked the link about corian in the very first post. Apparently, Corian is resistant to heat (which makes it good for sliding since it won't heat up and melt during sessions) and wear resistant. However, it can be melted at temperatures of over 300 degrees Fahrenheit. So I'm going to attempt making my gloves in a couple days.

Check out these sweet gloves my friend and I made, using 15$ gloves and 5$ velcro (and "free" tile samples") from Home Depot:

    can't wait to try them!

Hey, I'm pretty new to the sliding thing (did my first 180 powerslide today, it just rained) and I have a brand new pair of gravity gloves I got for christmas... my first real slide session, and they both rip! the right one (one I use most) ripped right between the palm puck and the seam between the thumb and the palm, and the left one ripped thankfully at the seam. Neither seems to be the result of wear on the ground, it appears that they simply ripped.

How would I go about repairing this, apart from just sewing them? and is this the result of something I might be doing wrong? any help is much appreciated, they were a gift and I'd like to get them fixed fast.

Wait.... Does everyone but me use the baby corian samples instead of the big ones? I got a couple big ones that cover my entire palm from Home Depot, but when I went back for more I got apprehended for shoplifting. Baby corian, or steal the big ones?

Baby corian samples suck. Spend 10 bucks and get some legit corian from a dealer.

How cold was it? I went out with mine in about 40 degree weather (not that that's super cold or anything) and my corian was still as good as ever.
