ya i would have to go back out to my car to take picts, i dont feel like it so maybe tomorrow.
So I traveled in a wagon with George W. Bush, Dick Cheaney, John Ashcroft, and Condoleezza Rice. During the journey, the group encountered a case of cholera, a broken arm, two wagon fires, one fever. Condoleezza Rice got fleas and died, but that's because she was having relations with the oxen. Dick Cheaney got bitten by a snake. Ashcroft - he ended up dying of dysentery. and bush got killed by indians. but thats the Oregon Trail for you.

i wouldnt do it, you kinda need your fingers for sliding.

I personally prefer to have finger and thumb pucks
Although lots of people slide on fingerless gloves and love it. It's really all preference really. I think full fingered gloves are great for tech sliding.... but if you live somewhere real hot, half-fingers keep you much cooler
I actually sell both kinds, if you're interested

ya.. skechy business there.
i was riding today, down a 30+ hill. thats pushing it for me. the weather was confused today and the roads were wet, but kinda the patchy wet pavement (also sketchy) and this was at night so i couldnt see the road was a bit sandy. i pulled a collman and was doing good till my wheels caught on the dry pavement. i went face first flying. i put my gloves down and the just slid right out from under me and i wacked my head face first on the ground. thats when i was happy i owned a full face and not just a half head skating helmet. if i owned one of those i would be missing half my face right now.

that's way scary man, where do you ride at? i'm kinda new to sliding and had a similar bail yesterday throwing a coleman, though i kind-of half ninja rolled onto my hip, which took the brunt of the impact. i wasn't going 30+ though, just workin on coleman's at like 20 or so mph. what kind of gloves do you run?

one time one of my gravity gloves flew off my hand mid-slide.... i only had a half-shell on, and ended up grinding my chin on the pavement
i told everyone i invented a new form of shaving

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
Anyone make a pair of slide gloves for young-uns? My friend got his niece into longboarding, she's about 11+/- and carries her board everywhere. He let her try out his sliders, and she was able to put it down with those monstrous oversized gloves! needless to say we need to make her a set. I was thinking about having velcro on the hand and thump so instead of an additional puck on the thumb, she could just stick her thumb to the hand in a place where it won't contact pavement, then like some rubber or leather tabs so she can pull the thumb free with her teeth. As for puck placement, I think a 2X3 staron sample split in half, and a full size 2X3 as the main puck may be able to provide the coverage needed.
Any advise or comments?

I know you can buy smaller sized gloves. Maybe check out Walmart or someplace similar. When I was shopping around for gloves, I found a lot come in size small.
If you don't have pucks already, I could try to cut down my pucks down to a "child size" at no extra charge. let me know if you're interested and I can help you out

basically it goes like this:
SLIDE SPEED (fast to slow): MudStones > BlackTops > GreenHorns
PUCK LIFE (long to short): MudStones > GreenHorns > BlackTops
PRICE (high to low): MudStones > BlackTops > GreenHorns
For tech sliding, I prefer the Blacks (Delrin) or Muds (DelrinAF). For speedboarding, some people like the Greens (UHMW) since you can scrub off more speed in the corners
let me know if you want more info

I appreciate the offer, and I dig you're pucks, but we're po-folks, and staron/corian is free. My only problem is the dude who left his bandsaw @ my homies house took it back. We'll just have to figure something out.
