I appreciate the offer, and I dig you're pucks, but we're po-folks, and staron/corian is free. My only problem is the dude who left his bandsaw @ my homies house took it back. We'll just have to figure something out.

Haha no worries man! completely understandable. i'd offer to cut your corian, but with shipping it would be pretty pointless

maybe try taking them to a hardware store. they have the saws you'd need and would most likely do it for free. good luck on your mini-gloves!

thanks for the help man, we'll see if i can make some money. haha my next purchase is gonna be some pads and a full face helmet. i pretty much literally kissed the pavement high-siding a coleman today. on my first run too...

I've been using cutting board, but recently got about 20 Corian pucks from local Home Depot and Lowe's stores.

I love the Corian.

I use fingerless gloves and they work great for me. Definatly and easy way to teach you not to put your fingers down. you learn that one quick

I wouldn't feel comfortable sliding with porcelain. If those things crack an edge you can look forward to being sliced something proper.

i worry about really weird things just like that. and that being my only reason not to use porcelain.

for every one saying he problem with melting cuting board on is u can replace the pusks once they wear out:

my mate has melted chopping on his workmans gloves and onece they wore through he simply melted more board on top of the old stuff. sticks just fine.

Tiles? if they're stone BAD Idea. Anything stone or ceramic will chip, and could cause some problems. Stick to Plastics.

These are special tiles I got from a store here, don't think they're gonna chip any time soon. anyway, if they chip, ill just put cutting board over them.
