a word for all of you guys.....

in my experience with gloves and pucks ive found that the pucks wear the fastest closest to the hell of your hand (next to the wrist) than anywhere else. if you place velcro down there and have your puck hanging there it will last longer and slide better.

pucks slide but they wear down way too easily. took them basically brand new down a 5 mile 55mph + hill with no straits (ie lots o' corners) an after a couple days they were totally worn down.

they arre big and cluncky too. on the tag it says "one size fits all"

wasnt worth the $40 in my opinion. I would say its much worth it to find a good fitting glove that you can find and you can afford to shred (because those gloves get shredded) and make a glove that is cheaper, fits better and the pucks last longer.

BUT all that said the loaded gloves come with good wrist support

believe it or not. its a little gem tucked away in the cascades that few know about.
about 6 switchbacks
2 or 3 "straits"
mostly sweepers
all in 4.5 miles

I found some old ski racing gloves in my basement.
got some industrial vlecrow
dug up some adhesive cement in my shop
put it all together.
great fitting and performing slide gloves i dont mind thrashing because they are cheap.



i get these pucks fo FREEEEE!
no friction. slide better than anything ive used

Also drawstring fasten is handy, and little cups on the top of fingers reaally help to take them off. I love 'em!

I posted this elsewhere, but...this thread being definitive and all...

oil filled UHMW, hand sanded & routed for perfectly rounded edges. custom apple design(lol). leather gloves. silky smooth. I love em The white one is a corian prototype.
And yeah, corian is technically a plastic, but it's more like synthetic granite. I prefer uhmw, it's lighter in weight, less noisy & less drag IMO.

no hate, but they do not look that nice...they might feel nice because I use Stanley gloves for my slide gloves too so I know about that.

I do not approve! just go swipe some free corian rather than using those old cd-rs
