Just buy a set of BV's and slap em on your gloves. They're durable, look awesome, and are as slidey as a lubed condom. Answer seems simple to me.

Just wanted to share the gloves I made out of free Corian samples from Lowe's, industrial grade white Velcro, Goop, and my old weight lifting gloves. Somebody asked about using clear silicone RTV several posts back, I can verify that it will stick to neither leather nor fabric. I had to scrape and peel it all off before the Goop, which worked.

I don't know how you guys got free samples from lowes. I went there and got everything but corian; they said they didn't give away free samples because you need a license to use it. Total garbage, man. I went to Home Depot, and apparently you can look at them there, but you can't take them. Well I took them anyway. I may or may not add finger pucks. Here is the product:

I will once I actually learn how to use them. The good thing is they are velcro so I can switch them out easy

Those 4" pieces are not samples... I think if you look back through this thread there was a kid who got busted for shoplifting at a lowe's for taking a few of them.

This might be farther back in this thread but what's the general consensus on the best glue for holding pucks to gloves?

Goop or Shoe Goo. They're the same thing. I got a tube of Goop from Walmart's arts & crafts aisle for under $5. It is exactly the same stuff as clear Shoe Goo, the package is just purple instead of white.

i think i'm going to use gorrilla glue instead of melting, just because it is less hazardous. thoughts/input on this? (i'm using cutting board for the pucks)

Don't use Gorilla glue. Hot glue or 5min Epoxy will be better. You will regret that effervescent bullshit Gorilla Glue.

Velcro would be better... cutting board wears out quickly.

Use adhesive backed velcro on the puck and velcro with any decent commercial glue such as Gorilla or shoe goo for the loop... other epoxies and solvent based adhesives will degrade the strength of your glove and cause tears... at torn glove means cut hands8)

I beg the differ. Gorilla glue is effervescent and will come apart much quicker than epoxy. I've never had issues with 5min epoxy or hot glue.

I have never used shoe glue though...

Exactly... leaving the glove in tact... not torn and resulting in an injury... seen it a million times. And effervescence is for champagne not adhesives... We use gorilla glue on all our race gear, never had a problem8) Shoe glue is like an epoxy... lot's of stinky ass fumes the gorilla glue is easy cheep and effective

Never seen the Gorilla epoxy... Last time I used Gorilla Glue (original), the bond didn't last but maybe a week. I even let it cure for 48 hours before I used them. The normal glue develops bubbles that are made to expand when it cures, hence why I call in effervescent.

Even the super glue and duct tape sucks. The Gorilla tape doesn't work in the state of FL... too humid. The super glue acted just like cheap Dollar General glue. After it crusted, it crumbled. I guess it depends on what you use these products on...

I'd imagine Gorilla epoxy is the same as all other epoxies. Resin and Hardener. I bet it even has the same dull odor as the rest.

I just get the cheap Ace Hardware epoxy. Cost's like 4 bucks and comes in the same tube as that.

Also, I'm pleased with hot glue. It's quick. You just can't screw around while it cools, otherwise you got a mess.

EDIT: I'm sure their adhesive formulas have changed over the past few years, but I wont use a Gorilla products because of past failures.

Thinkin i might go the velcro route, and i hear stiched in on the glove works really wheel but do you know if gorrilla glue or hot glue would be long lasting for attaching the velcro to the puck?
