Thank you for visiting our website! We received your request for
samples; however, we are not currently authorized to sell our products

fulfill your request.
so do you think that this would work in other states? like North Carolina?

Sewing > Hot glue btw, I don't see what logic you're feeding yourself to support that theory. Hot glue is just faster, easier and cheaper with the same general effect, but stitching is much more permanent.
how much are hot glue guns?

I've seen them as cheap as 6 bucks, but looking around my parents house, I found 3, including a multi-temp. Wouldn't hurt to ask people you know if they had one either. They aren't rare.

No idea. I think it's a scam to direct you to a site that charges you. It's hard to tell. Try it. Worst that will happen is they email the same crap I got.

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
If anybody in FL wants/needs the small corian tile samples, let me know. I just bought 200 of the 2"X2" samples that corian.com sells for $1 each. As long as you're not too worried about the colors of the tile matching and don't mind paying a nominal amount I can hook people up. Just let me know if you're interested and we can meet up or I can mail them to you.

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
Well I sold my Loaded V4 gloves, they just got too damn hot. Now I'm working on a pair of Mechanix slide gloves. I'm using corian for the palms but I don't want the added weight of putting it on the fingertips. What have some of you guys used to reinforce fingertips. Is duct tape sufficient or should I go for something stronger? I also picked up some industrial Velcro and gorilla glue. Have you guys had luck gluing the Velcro onto the glove and pucks or will it not bond to the adhesive on the Velcro and screw everything up? Reason I ask is because I don't think the adhesive on the Velcro will hold the pucks on with my 150 pounds sliding on them.

If you have an old pair of jeans, you can use the material to reinforce gloves. Just glue it on. Make sure the glue you use doesn't seep through and glue the glove shut.
If you have jeans patches, those work too.

That's a great idea, thanks! I don't have any here at school but I do have some back at home. Next time I head back I'll make sure to grab a pair I don't mind thrashing.

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
oh and also, original knows where its at
the only problem is that while cutting board is cheap, it heats up pretty fast when sliding, and can get pretty grippy

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
I don't have anything in my spam folder either, so It might've actually worked. Either way I ordered some phat deanz online.
Does anyone know if fiberglass would make a good slide puck? I've got a slab lying around and it's about a 1/4'' thick and I'd like to know before I waste my time and Velcro cutting it up.

If you're like me, your parents don't want you to steal their cutting board and make gloves. This means you go buy one, the one i bought was $10. I was able to make 2 gloves worth of pucks out of 1 cutting board. Phat Deanz palm pucks are $11, so not much more expensive.
Then you get this giant heating gun, how many of you have those? And, when you wear your pucks down, you can't replace them without replacing the gloves.
With a hand saw, the results won't be great for the 1st or second try... You see how he scraped the pucks on the cement to sand them? That shows you how long cutting board lasts.

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
Its appropriate that original uses this method, as original has no talent.
I mean I like a few of their decks, but their trucks suck ass, the majority of shapes they have suck ass, and everyone on the original team save like 3 riders all suck ass, and the 3 rider they have are decent with not much style. They just seem kind of artificial to me, more in it for a business then as a passion.
But then again Loaded has set the bar pretty high on all levels, so I don't know.

The Home Depot close to my house gave me a hard time about coming off a few samples, the Lowe's down the road told us they didn't have any. I said I have $200 worth of tiles, I didn't say I paid $200 though

yeah, im not about to defend them.
i thought their video was creative, but i agree, there were some serious flaws in their way of making gloves.
and i don't have an original, so i can't comment on the quality, but i agree that it'll be pretty hard for them to meet any expectations set by Loaded
(god i want to see that loaded speedboard)
it better be symmetrical
