Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
So "cutting board". I can use the cutting board they sell at walmart for cutting meat and stuff?
Its by fiberware I think, but its only like 1/3 inch thick...not sure if its thick enough.
also. "industrial strengh" velcro from walmart, yes or no?

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
after a few months of testing, i can definitively say that Tactics's pucks (i wanna say haylar?) are mondo bitchin'.
I've got them on Mechanix gloves with two 2x2 corian pucks for spock fingers. no thumb puck.

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
thats quite a collection of slide pucks. so you wear slide pucks at multiple points on your body?

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
Yeap, except for the hip, I wear hip pads sometimes. I tried a slide puck on an area I kept on falling on and it just sent all the blunt force concentrated into one area. Bad idea.
Some of those pucks will be given out at the rip for people to test/post a mini review on the fish, which is why they are still shiny Must resist using them.
But mostly just on the knees, side of the knee pads, and the elbows and fngers

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
so i made some slide gloves out of corian tiles... i think its because i have really sweaty hands but eventually the puck comes off and that was after 1 session. maybe the crack in the pavement helped but ive slide over the breaks in the concrete before and it was no problem. anyone experience this? if i wanna glue the tile what kind of glue should i use? also does anyone have any precut UHMWPE that they could send me, i think i might be better off just melting that biatch to the glove

Try 2 ton epoxy, or some shoe goo!

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
I thought of something that might be really funny.
Screwing those "tail devil sparks" thingys on a sliding glove puck, to sesh up at night.
I know its not the best sliding material or whatever, but it would look really cool for like one night.
haha

i kinda wanted to stick to velcro so i can switch out slide pucks. but after my last few sessions and 4 feet of velcro later i have given up. i think it may be my sweaty hands but i need a way to stick these pucks to the glove. if i use 2 ton epoxy or shoe goo 100% sure the pucks wont fall off again? i was thinking of sewing the velcro into the glove but i dont know how to sew! haha

Re: The Definitive Slide Gloves Thread
Hey does anyone know if you can melt the corian? I want to make them circular by melting them down and putting them into a mold. Also, I want to make them thinner.

Or you could go forge them in the fires of a Mt. Doom.....
I think the point of getting free corian is to not have to do any work... ^^
